John Edward Davis

John Davis passed his first figure tests at the St. Petersburg Figure Skating Club but never competed. He auditioned for the Ice Capades at the age of twenty and toured as a chorus skater for two decades. He passed away on November 3, 1994 at the age of forty-one.

John's obituary from the "Tampa Bay Times": "DAVIS, JOHN E., 41, of Seminole and formerly of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (Nov. 3, 1994) at Belle-air Nursing Home, Clearwater. A St. Petersburg native, he was a professional ice skater for the Ice Capades for 20 years. Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Davis, Seminole; a sister, Lynn Copriviza, Las Vegas; a companion, Joy Wallach, Seminole; and a niece and nephew."
