November 15, 1946-March 16, 1995


Born in Los Angeles, Bill Goodwin grew up in Eagle Rock, California. He made his mark on the skating world as a long-time costume and set designer for the Ice Capades. He went on to a highly successful career as a makeup artist, winning a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Makeup for a Drama Series for his work on the soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful". He passed away on March 16, 1995 at the age of forty-eight.

Bill's obituary from "The Los Angeles Times": "Bill Goodwin, 48, Emmy Award-winning makeup artist. A native of Glendale, Goodwin attended Pasadena City College. For many years, he worked as a set and costume designer for the Ice Capades and for several theater and dance companies in New York. Switching to makeup, he returned to the West Coast and concentrated on television. He started working for the series 'The Bold and the Beautiful' in 1988 and won his Emmy in 1992 for makeup on that program. On March 16 in Los Angeles of complications of AIDS."
